Leveraging CCMR to benefit students and communities
CCMR Fuels the Future of Texas
Student readiness fuels the future of Texas. CCMR is a tool that drives school progress toward ensuring every student graduates ready for a meaningful postsecondary pathway. This website curates resources and information to guide your district’s College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) efforts.
What is CCMR?
CCMR, or College, Career, and Military Readiness, is a metric designed to incentivize and recognize school programs that provide all students with access to and guidance along high-quality postsecondary pathways.
When districts invest in quality programs that encourage student planning and preparation for a meaningful postsecondary path, they see growth in their A-F accountability scores and receive additional funding tied to CCMR, such as CCMR Outcomes Bonuses.
The secondary programs with the greatest impact on CCMR are the same programs that are critical for student success after high school. They include Career and Technical Education, rigorous core and advanced academics, and personalized student advising.

CCMR is not the task of any one individual, but rather is the result of collective action and an ongoing commitment to improvement.
Pillars of CCMR
CCMR is not the task of any one individual. It’s the result of collective action and an ongoing commitment to improvement.
Vision
Implementing an impactful, long-term strategic plan to support postsecondary pathways for all students requires a clear vision that rallies the community around student success and growth of the local economy.
Data
Data-informed decision-making improves programs that, in turn, foster CCMR success in the short and long term. To manage and harness vast amounts of information from different sources, districts, schools, and educators need a strategy that identifies the right CCMR data elements and puts them in context.
Student Support
Postsecondary pathways are only successful when students successfully navigate them. Students require intentional, structured support to imagine, plan, and progress along a pathway and overcome obstacles along the way.
Community Engagement
Collaboration within and across communities has enormous potential to boost CCMR outcomes. For optimal impact, build a coalition of informed participants that share success and support for CCMR initiatives. Regions position themselves for the greatest success when school systems, employers, and families co-create a shared strategy, establish a working team, and consistently work toward their goals.
Fueling Funding
CCMR funding enables a positive and sustainable spiral of support for student outcomes. Maximize CCMR resources year after year by reinvesting funds into continuous improvement of programs.
